The Situation

Joel & Liz Beckman met while training Killer Whales at SeaWorld. The couple found that the same techniques used to train killer whales worked well to train dogs - with that Beckman's Dog Training was born. The new business required brand development and marketing assistance.
The Solution

CR's branding efforts positioned Beckman's as the "killer whale dog trainers." This positioning strategy is reflected in the logo, which depicts a killer whale as the dogs' shadow. This design symbolically represents the couples SeaWorld training methods as the foundation for the new business. Positioning was also the foremost consideration in the development of the tagline "after training killer whales, dogs are a breeze."
